| Early Beginnings |
| The Mid Ulster Branch of the Friends Of The Somme was formed
in September 1994. The Somme Association Ltd are located
in the Somme Heritage Centre at Conlig, outside Newtownards.
Acting upon their advice we became the Mid Ulster branch
of the 'Friends of the Somme' support organisation, which
has hundreds of members throughout Northern Ireland and
abroad. The Mid Ulster Branch is based in Cookstown, County
Tyrone. |

| Present Times |
| Our 2015-16 membership numbers some 150
members from across the length and breadth of Northern
Ireland. We have regular meetings and functions during
the September-July year. |

for the 2015-2016 year is £10. The group meets
once a month at the Royal British Legion, Cookstown |
